Scott Shapiro’s Super Sunday Free Picks

One of the most highly anticipated days on the American sports calendar is upon us: Super Bowl Sunday, baby! Obviously, the game between the Patriots and the Rams headlines the big day, but there is also a college hoops game that I hope to use to build our bankrolls before kickoff of the “Big Game” (6:30 p.m. EST). Here is what I will be involved with on Super Bowl Sunday with an early college basketball free pick, my favorite Super [...]

[VIDEO] – Scully and Shapiro Discuss Super Bowl Betting Strategies

There's a reason that there are so many Super Bowl betting strategies out there. Simply put, you won't find a game with more historical betting statistics in all of sports betting. The question is whether or not you should treat the Super Bowl a mutually exclusive entity, or take in to consideration the other 52 itterations of the contest. James Scully sat down with Scott Shapiro to discuss this angle. Check out the video below: It's very easy to get [...]

[VIDEO] – Scully & Shapiro Discuss Crazy Super Bowl Line Movement

In what has been a somewhat unprecedented event, the public and the oddsmakers have been bullying the Super Bowl spread since it opened at LAR -1.0. Almost immediately, the line rushed towards the Patriots and has been hovering around NE -3.0 through this week. The total has remained sky-high at 58.0 points. James Scully and Scott Shapiro sat down to discuss the intense Super Bowl line movement at length in order to gauge the market's reaction. Do the Patriots deserve the [...]

Scott Shapiro’s NCAA Hoops Analysis- Saturday January 26th

The Big 12/SEC Challenge and some important tussles in the Big 10 and Atlantic Coast Conference highlight a busy final Saturday of January in NCAA hoops. Here are my thoughts on a few of the day’s most intriguing matchup: (Note - Picks will be added when spreads come out on Friday evening) #9 Kansas Jayhawks at #8 Kentucky Wildcats (6:00 PM EST) Two bluebloods go at it in Rupp Arena when the Jayhawks travel to Lexington to take on Big [...]

Scott Shapiro’s AFC Championship Game Analysis – New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs

Championship Sunday continues with another rematch of a high-scoring contest that took place during the middle of the 2018 NFL season. The difference, though, is that the loser of the regular season showdown is now the host with New England visiting Kansas City with a Super Bowl berth on the line. When the Chiefs visited the Patriots on Sunday night in Week 6 it was all New England early, but ended up being a tight one late. Probable MVP Patrick [...]

Scott Shapiro’s NFC Championship Game Analysis- Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints

The first of two rematches on Championship Sunday in the National Football League pits the two-seeded Los Angeles Rams against the top-seeded New Orleans Saints, and like their first encounter, this contest is in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but unlike that first game, I do not anticipate this being as high-scoring as it was in Week 9 when both teams peaked on the offensive side of the ball. The Rams were the early favorites to win the Super [...]

Scott Shapiro’s NFL Playoff Selections and Analysis- Sunday’s Divisional Round

The second doubleheader in the National Football League divisional round playoffs gets rolling at 1:05 p.m. EST on Sunday. Much like with Saturday’s twin bill, I am going to attempt to buck the trend of favorites doing well in this round by backing the two dogs. Scott Shapiro’s NFL Playoffs Selections and Analysis- Saturday’s Divisional Round

After a Wild Card round that was kind to those who backed underdogs, another great slate of playoff games is on tap this weekend in the National Football League. History suggests that relying on dogs to get the job done in the divisional round both outright or against the number can be a dangerous endeavor, but I think this season is unique. In years’ past, the majority of top seeds come into the playoffs playing their best ball, but I [...]

Scott Shapiro’s Week 16 NFL 4-Pack

I am hopeful to close out the 2018 regular season in style with this being the final “NFL 4-Pack” write up of the year. I will be off during the squirrelly Week 17, but back to share my thoughts once the playoffs commence. In the meantime, be sure to follow @BetAmericaSport on Twitter So without further ado…. Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5) vs Houston Texans Is it happening again? When the defending champions looked dead to rights after losing to NFC East [...]

Scott Shapiro’s NCAA Hoops Analysis- Saturday December 22nd

Conference play is getting close, but a number of top-tier programs are looking for a resume builder to end 2018. Here are my thoughts on a few of Saturday’s biggest games in college hoops. (Picks will be added when spreads come out on Friday evening) UCLA Bruins vs. #14 Ohio State Buckeyes (Saturday, Dec 22nd - 3 pm ET) The first half of the 2018 CBS Sports Classic in Chicago pits two teams coming off lackluster efforts against inferior opponents [...]
