The History of the Bourbon Stakes

The Bourbon Stakes is a Grade III horse race run annually at Keeneland Race Course in Kentucky. Named for Bourbon County, home to some of Kentucky’s most famous thoroughbred farms, the race also acts as a qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf as part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series.
