The English Premier League hits the pitch this weekend with a lot of action worth tracking. Check out our EPL free picks below and get in on some soccer betting!
Fulham v Manchester United (Sat – 7:30am ET)
Manchester United (5th) is sitting in a sweet spot only 2 points under 4th which is currently being rented by Chelsea. Fulham has done well at home but, with momentum slipping, they’ll have to perform a miraculous display of talent, but even then, it won’t count for much.
While there were mixed reactions when new caretaker manager Solskjaer’s took over, United has done an about face, walking away with 9 wins and a draw in their last 10 games
Defensively, however United has struggled. This may give Fulham a strategy to attack on United’s weakness and they’ve been putting up points in recent games, which could incite some action.
Even with a hard fought match, Manchester United will take Fulham to task on Saturday and could be heading to the 4th spot if Chelsea underperforms against Manchester City.
EPL Free Picks – Manchester United -160
Watford v Everton (Fri/Sat – 10am ET)
Neither team has been particularly inspiring recently, but at the very least it could churn up a good game. Counting on a draw might be an easy way out but with Watford sitting one point ahead of the Toffees on the Premier League table, one winner will come out on top.
Watford has only taken 2 points with them on their last three league matches, with two of them ending in scoreless draws.
Everton is coming off 3 disappointing losses out of 4 competitions and have a sordid history with Watford. Of the last 3 matches with the Toffee’s they’ve lost 2 and had a draw on the third.
The Hornets should be prepared to get back to their winning ways after securing 3 wins in their first 3 PL games of the season. That, coupled with their home domination (2-1-0) of the Toffees, you can bet on that recurring theme. Watford will win this home match, leaving Everton to fall further behind.
EPL Free Picks: Watford +140
Crystal Palace v West Ham (Sat – 10am ET)
Crystal Palace will play host to West Ham this weekend and both teams are coming in with some renewed confidence. In their last 6 games, The Eagles are 3-1-2 while the Hammers are 2-1-3 but are coming off a strong performance against top-table Liverpool in a 1-1 draw.
Even though Palace has momentum after a brilliant win over Fulham they will be looking for their first victory against the Hammers in 7 head-to-head matches.
The Eagles will have to work to get points and keep a clean scorecard if they want a chance to catch up to the 12th (32 points) place West Ham, where they sit just below in 14th but 8 points out.
The Hammers have history and a nostalgia for glory on their side heading into this London derby. The safe bet here is going to be West Ham, but if you’re playing for drama, bet on the draw.
EPL Free Picks: West Ham +260 / Draw +240
Tottenham v Leicester City (Sun – 8:30am ET)
Table toppers, Tottenham will host mid-table Leicester this Sunday at Wembley Stadium. Expect this to be a tight game and not one with a draw. Tottenham currently owns the league record with 29 games without a draw and, Leicester has been on a drawless 10 game streak.
Spurs will be without Harry Kane or Dele Alli but Son has picked up the slack and has been devastating to recent opponents. Playing at home is one advantage Tottenham has on their side but they also average 3 goals against Leicester, while The Foxes average only 1.6 against the Spurs.
Leister has struggled but they do perform well against the big name teams and hit the back of the net in their recent match with number two Liverpool.
Watch this game for the spectacle and hope it turns out like their match in May of last year (5-4), and if it does then you can put your money on the 5th place Tottenham over the 11th place Leicester.
EPL Free Picks: Tottenham -140
Manchester City v Chelsea (Sun – 11am ET)
The top of the ladder is never that steady and for Manchester City, this could not be more true. Chelsea will be aiming to stay in the top 4 and will not make this an easy test for Man City.
The Blues limped through 4 away games with losses but handled their match up with bottom-table, Huddersfield Town with a 5-0 win. With their recent loss to United, this defeat may sting more if United tops Fulham and takes their 4th spot.
Manchester City had a rough start against Everton midweek but was able to hang on to a victory. Now, facing Chelsea, who have had 7 days of preparation, will test their PL title.
The Citizens may be facing a ready-to-fight Chelsea but they are unbeaten and home and will look to steady the ladder and remain on top
Man City will win at home against Chelsea, but it won’t come easy.
EPL Free Picks: Man City -200
