The most prestigious golf tournament of the year starts on Thursday at Augusta National. Betting on golf is extremely fun and there are several ways to wager on the Masters, but one of the best value options is the BetAmerica Each Way (E/W) Market.

Each Way Wagers:

The best way to think about an Each Way(E/W) bet in golf is basically two independent wagers. One of them is an outright on a particular golfer to win the tournament. The other is a place wager. Therefore, you can earn a return on your wager if your golfer does not win, but if he or she is able to place. The payout will not be as much as if they player had won the tournament, but it does increase your chance of a return since you get paid out for just placing instead of needing to finish first. This however does require the player to double their investment.

An Each Way pays out anywhere from a Top 3 finish to a Top 7 finish. This can change as the tournament progresses. Check the selection in your betslip, and if you see E/W 1/4 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 for example, that will win you a bet through a Top 7 finish.

If you bet $20 to win on Rory McIlroy at a live price of (+900) you would only get a return on your investment if McIlroy finished first. With a $20 wager on the BetAmerica E/W market, at the 1/4 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 pricing seen in your betslip, if McIlroy finished in the Top 7 you would get paid on your place wager despite McIlroy not finishing first. You would lose your futures wager for $10 but would profit $22.50 (25% of the futures price) on your place wager earning you an overall return of $32.50. Therefore, you would still turn a profit even if McIlroy did not win the given tournament.
