Chicago QB Mitch Trubisky has looked like a different player the past four games, and the defense is capable of frustrating Patrick Mahomes and limiting his production at Soldier Field. If David Montgomery can expose KC's porous run defense, Kansas City will find itself with an unexpected loss on primetime television.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are still clinging to the final wildcard spot in the AFC, but the Jets (+3) will spoil the party at MetLife Stadium on Saturday. The much-maligned Jets were outclassed last week in Baltimore, but have won four of their last five games at home. In three of those wins, including lopsided results against the Cowboys and Raiders, they were home underdogs.
Few teams have been hotter lately than the Knicks. Yes, you read that correctly. The boys from Gotham have won three of their last four games and hung 143 points on the Hawks on Tuesday night. That kind of dominant outing can do wonders for a young team’s confidence, and New York should enter American Airlines Arena full of swagger this evening. RJ Barrett and Co. won’t necessarily beat the Heat, but they will manage to keep things close until the bitter end.
Familiar foes prepare for battle as Dallas and Philly square off in a contest that will most likely decide which team represents the NFC East in this year’s playoffs. After three straight losses, Dallas finally went back to the basics and pounded the rock for 263 rushing yards resulting in an impressive 44-21 against LA. Although Philly is riding a two-game winning streak, they’ve been unconvincing in recent performances thanks in large to a depleted roster and limited weapons for gunslinger Carson Wentz. I expect a close first half, but Dallas will eventually run away with game as Zeke goes for 100+ yards and a TD in a 28-20 victory for ‘Dem Boys.
