Back at headquarters tomorrow for a fine day of racing and the chance to make some bank! Let’s take a look at a few races and see if we can’t get everyone cheering home some winners. Flemington racecourse is the place to be.

FLEMINGTON – AUS A

RACE 1 - EUGENE GORMAN HANDICAP 1400m of $80000 (AUS)

Home Run Hero trialled twice back in Feb, based on that, he’s no sprinter. Respect the betting with both. CALLAHAN had 1400m "written all over him" when he won in good time at Seymour 1st up. There's been no test of the form yet but suspect it will be ok. JUSTAWAY comes through the same race with a good performance and is a chance also. ROUNDABOUT fought on well at Sale and there's subsequent city winning form from that race, so he has to be respected. JAPANESE SLIPPER is a chance back to her own age and out to 1400m. VUELTA with Devon Princess form is in this.

SELECTIONS – CALLAHAN / JUSTAWAY / ROUNDABOUT

RACE 2 - 2014 ALL VICTORIAN SPRINT SERIES HEAT 6 1100m of $100000 (AUS)

Speed will come here from Big Buddie, Nearest To Pin and The Thief. NEAREST TO PIN is fit and in good form. There was nothing wrong with his only run down the straight which was on Melbourne Cup Day. He looks well placed with the weight. SHANGHAI WARRIOR is on the comeback trail. He looked good in a recent trial and he has good straight form, he can win this. GENERAL TRUCE is good fresh but we usually see him around 1000m. He's got too much class to leave out, but may be slowing the last 50m. DOUBTFILLY comes down from Queensland with race fitness and some good form, so you have to respect that decision.

SELECTIONS – NEAREST TO PIN / GENERAL TRUCE / SHANGAI WARRIOR

RACE 4 - 2014 BANJO PATERSON SERIES HEAT 3 2500m of $100000 (AUS)

MUJADALE is the likely leader in this race I would think.  Stable mates PERMIT and SACRED FLYER look good chances against this level of stayers. PERMIT beat SACRED FLYER home at Rosehill May 10 but the latter looks more likely to win a race after his good recent performance at Sandown. He has a significant weight drop (advantage) from that race. Then we have ZABEELIONAIRE who beat PERMIT home last start. He has to be a strong danger to SACRED FLYER. If leaders can feature then MUJADALE is the improver. Not sure MCNULTY backs up from Wednesday but if he does, he's next best.

SELECTIONS – SACRED FLYER / ZABEELIONAIRE / PERMIT

RACE 6 - VRC-CRV WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES HEAT 3 1400m of $80000 (AUS)

DECIRCLES the likely leader but there's a lot of these who can push forward, so we should get a genuine speed. This looks a strong heat with a stack of chances. HENWOOD has a good record here at 1400m and he maps particularly well from a kind barrier. Is he getting ready for the final though?  TRIED AND TIRED had excuses here last time and he was good behind HENWOOD prior, so he may just be the forgotten horse. Keen to see GENERAL PEEKAY out to 1400m. He's drawn for a good run. Despite his 60kg LIMES has to be a chance, so don’t forget him in multiples. EXIMIUS had no luck 1st up. DECIRCLES is next best if leaders can win.

SELECTIONS – HENWOOD / TRIED AND TIRED / GENERAL PEEKAY
