The Thursday racing at Palm Beach should just be tremendous. Four Grade A races highlight the card, along with one of the hottest superstars around JS SpeedyPebbles going for season win #26 in the 14th Race.  Many other storylines in this dynamic card to watch all afternoon long.  Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee racing at “The Beach.”

Race 12 Grade A 545 Yards

Classic case of an early speedster who fades at the end with #2 Jawa Bruiser gets you looking for the best closer to catch in this race.  #5 Dewzee from the North Shore Kennel already has 9 wins in his young career and just took Bruiser at the wire last race.  #6 CRT Yusef is one of the top 545 yard racers at Palm Beach, but has been way off form the last two races and faces demotion to the JV class if he misses the ticket again.

Dewzee gets his second straight win over the Bruiser.

Picks: 5 - 2 - 6 - 3

Race 13 Grade B 545 Yards

Very competitive race to watch in this one. Whenever #7 JS Angel Touch drops down from the top class, I am playing her for the win almost automatically because of her past history in this grade. Hasn’t stayed in Grade B for longer than two races since January 2013.

#2 Superior Polly from B & B Racing is who held me up from just penciling in Angel Touch for the W right away. Is a grade dropper herself and has a ton of past success. Also possesses the best rush of this field. Problem is that Polly has coughed up the lead at go time in the past few weeks and hasn’t put together a complete race in some time.

JS Angel Touch gets back to Grade A where she belongs.

Picks: 7 - 2 - 5 - 4

Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards

The race of the day without a doubt. All eyes (and most bets) will be keying in on the #6 JS SpeedyPebbles from owner Shannon Henry.  Looking like the top 545 racer at Palm Beach currently, blistering 3 straight wins, all in times easily under 30 seconds.  If you want to see a greyhound bolt out of the starting box, Pebbles is the best at it for sure.

Pebbles will have to contend with #1 Racin Razzi, who has one of the best kicks here and can run down any racer at this track. Gets the prime 1 box, where she won last time in it on 5/1.  Only problem is that she has lost to Pebbles in two straight.

Long shot could be #3 Too Darn Hot, who is a talented prospect coming over from Hollywood.

Have to stay with the hot racer here. Pebbles gets her 4th straight W.

Picks: 6 - 1 - 8 - 3
