The greyhound racing action will yet again be awesome for the Tuesday card today.  With the first month of the new season almost in the books, this track has been super competitive across the board and today should be no different. Hot shot rookie Oaks Tony Roman is the big star running today in Race 15.

Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”

Race 6 Grade B 545 Yards

Amazingly, #1 Superior Philly from B & B Racing is still stuck in this lower class.

Just a few months back, Philly was running right with many of the top greyhounds here. After three straight Place finishes, she gets the 1 box to fire out of today to try and turn around her fortunes.

Main threat will come from #8 CRT Full Of It, from The Champions Racing Team.  Is grade dropping from the top class and has won three straight out of this 8 box in B Grade, including her only win this season on 7/8.

Wildcard is #6 Xander Bogaerts, who has a rush to crush and will be looking to make it to the top level for the first time if he can pull the upset here.

CRT Full Of It’s history in the 8 box I cannot stray from. He gets the W and gets back to the top class where he belongs.

Picks 8-1-6-2

Race 12 Grade B 545 Yards

#7 TF Chucky Slick from top Kennel Rader Racing is back at Palm Beach after a short stint at Southland Park.  9th in wins last season and a 47% win percentage; it will only be a matter of time before this veteran will be back running with the best here.

Will the comeback start with a win today?  Is sitting in a perfect spot mid track with not a ton of class lining up against him.

#5 Cedar Maxine from the Douglas Kennel could be Chucky Slick’s main competition here. Recently grade dropped and has shown some good fire out of the box on occasion.  #2 Superior Rainey has 11 wins already in her career and is a must on any Exotic plays in this race.

Chucky Slick gets back to his winning ways at Palm Beach with a W here.

Picks 7-5-2-6

Race 15 Grade A 545 Yards

The race of the day without a doubt.

The one to watch is #2 Oaks Tony Roman from owner Mick Hymes.  Is due for a better race after missing the Quinela last time out for the first time this season. 7 wins already in his young career and a consistent under 30 second threat.

#1 Palm City Calico could spoil Roman’s winner circle party today. Has the 1 box to fire out of, which she looked impressive out of last week in her schooling race.  Is coming off a 2 month layoff, so may not be quite ready to take on a top field like this quite yet.

Longshot could come from #4 SKN Jackson, who won at 27-1 on 7/14 in a mid-track box.

Oaks Tony Roman is too talented to shy away from here for the win.

Picks 2-1-4-8
