Greyhound Preview: Palm Beach For 8/25/2014
By Palm Beach JasonI am ready to get the week started with a fantastic card today at Palm Beach. Two Grade A classics come our way in Races 6 and 15, with top hounds CRT Majestic, Gez Jacked Up, JS Froot Loops and Ninis Chipotle all making starts today. Track announcer FasTrak Dale Simons will be calling home the winners all afternoon long.
Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”
Race 6 Grade A 545 Yards
This could be an all-star race with how many superstars are lining up in this one.
One of the hottest hounds at the track #2 Superior Jamaica from B & B Racing is going for 4 straight W’s and will look to stay undefeated on the young season. Love the inside and has been popping the lid with the best of them this season.
#6 Ninis Chipotle from top Kennel Rader Racing is an 80% ticket hitter this year and should be near the front with his early speed. SpeedyPebbles’ sister #8 JS Froot Loops has the best close of this crew but hasn’t fared well out of this outside box in her career.
#1 Gez Jacked Up is second on the season in wins with 6 W’s this season but really prefers mid-track. I still like him to hit the back of the ticket but a win here would surprise me.
Jamaica stays en fuego and gets another victory here.
Race 14 Grade B 545 Yards
I’m surprised #3 TF Chucky Slick from Rader Racing is still in this Grade.
The 18 time winner from last season has been racing into shape since returning from Southland in July. Has a dynamic rush but has been a bit short when it comes to go time.
Up with Chucky Slick at the beginning will be #6 San Tan Sawbones. Will fade at the end but will be somewhere on the ticket. #1 Flying Annan from owner Vince Berland has the best close of this group, but has not fared well out of the rail box in her last two starts.
I’m going with Chucky Slick to get back to A Grade where he belongs here.
Race 15 Grade A 545 Yards
We may be looking at the new Track Champion going in the finale today.
#8 CRT Majestic from The Champions Racing Team has been lighting this track up. Six wins already on the young season and has gone well under 30 secs in six straight. Has gotten the 8 box to fire out of three times this season and has steamrolled the competition each time. To say I like her here to win is an understatement.
#3 Kiowa Carmen from the Royal Racing Team has the best chance for the upset. Races well on the inside and is a 60% ticket hitter this season. Also was in my Top 10 Rankings in July.
#1 Krispy Kreme has one of the best names at Palm Beach and gets her first start in the top class today.
Majestic ties for the season wins lead after bolting another W today.
Top Pick Race 15- #8 CRT Majestic
