While the Tuesday cards at most harness tracks often leave little to the imagination, a quartet races at Yonkers Raceway and Harrington Raceway this evening actually offer some interesting opportunities.

In the third race this evening at Yonkers, a non-winners of two races or $20,000 lifetime class for two- and three-year-old pacers, look for Art History (Brian Sears) to have an immediate impact on this group in his local debut. A winner twice last month at Pocono Downs, including a stellar 1:51.1 score against similar for trainer Steve Elliott, Art History has plenty of early speed and the Western Ideal gelding should have a fondness for the New York half-mile oval.

Then in the finale of the 12-race card, give K-Lees Shakenbake (Sears) a chance to atone after several failed attempts as the favorite. The four-year-old Raycer gelding owns a 1-5-3 slate from 15 seasonal outings, but he does start from post two this evening and should end his bridesmaid status. The Darran Cassar trainee actually sports 11 wins and earnings of $90,000 from 33 lifetime tries, so his frequent setbacks this year are something of a mirage.

At Harrington Raceway this evening a pair of durable, classy pacing mares are worth backing. In the sixth, the featured $13,000 Filly-Mare Open II, play My Ideal Hanover (Victor Kirby) right back off her sharp score from post eight last week. The Ed Gannon, Jr. trainee owns a 6-3-4 slate from 22 starts this year, including wins against the top class here June 24 and July 1. She looks poised to garner her second straight local tally.

Then in the finale, a non-winners of $4501 last four starts for pacing fillies and mares, give Alice's Restaurant a chance to end a long drought. A durable sort trained by Anthony Domino, Jr., Alice's Restaurant has faced much tougher during her career and drops to a very low level which should finally enable her to notch her third win in 20 tries this year. Grandview Hanover beat similar last week in 1:54.2 and draws inside and will be the solid favorite, but Alice's Restaurant is worth the play.
