Bombs away on Sunshine Millions day on Saturday at Santa Anita leaving a pick-6 carryover of over $430,000 on Sunday, January 26. The first leg is race four, an allowance/optional claiming race on the turf.

Race 4: Kent Desormeaux had one heck of a day on Saturday and can keep it going on Sunday with PURE LOYALTY from the Mark Glatt barn. The four-year-old colt stretches out after a downhill sprint and may be worth including on the ticket. ARTIC NORTH is the 2-1 morning line favorite and horse to beat for trainer Peter Miller. ARTIC NORTH gets some well deserved class relief after running in three straight graded stakes.

Race 5: If WRITER FEVER's dirt race in September can be excused, she is the right filly in this six and one-half furlong sprint. She could be the speed in what looks to be a light pace. EVERHEART is making her third career starts and just finished second at the level three weeks ago. BERT'S MELODY is the only debutante in the field and is worth a bet on that aspect alone.

Race 6: Looks like Sunday is the day for DIVINE WAY to break her maiden after three seconds and one third in six career starts to date. She finished second on the same course and level on January 4 and meets nine first-time-starters. Not sure about any of the debut fillies, but on paper, PRAGMATICAL, LAMAZONE and NOTHING TO HIDE look best.

Race 7: CHELIOS wasn't supposed to run as well as he did in his debut, but the Glen Hill Farm owned colt did just that, finishing second behind a runaway winner. The only concern is the rail draw. RPRETTYBOYFLOYD is another that finished second in his debut and will improve off of that effort. SAWYER'S HILL ran third in his debut, but that was nearly five months ago and his trainer is winless with her first 15 starters at the current meet. The one positive is jockey Rafael Bejarano in the irons. SUPERLOOPER is a first-time-starter for trainer Bob Baffert with some fast morning works.

Race 8: SWEET SWAP, EL COMMODORE and READY FOR MORE look hard to separate in the restricted Clocker's Corner Stakes and should all be used on the ticket.

Race 9: Not an easy way to end the card with $12,500 claimers that have never won two races. Going to side with ON MY HONOR, who is making her third start off a long layoff and can win from just off the pace. Others to consider are FIT TO RULE, WORLD FAMOUS SAM T, TRIBAL SMOKE and WARREN'S TYLER S.
