SOUTHLAND Preview - Sunday twilight, Dec 6
Welcome to another Sunday twilight card of entertaining and exciting greyhound racing at Southland as there are 18 races on tap for your viewing and wagering pleasure. As many of you know who follow MoneyMaker Mike's Southland previews, from time to time I like to go outside the box with picks and predictions and for a couple of programs this week I will monitor those greyhounds who are going for three straight wins. I did this a few months back and I was surprised to see that only a few were able to make it three wins in a row during that study. As always I will post the results of how these greyhounds did and see if we can come up with any trend when it comes to winning streaks. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
Race 1 - 660 yards - Grade B - GOTYA COVERED - 7 box - He is well positioned for his wide running style but the competition will be tough here as there are several greyhounds in this race who have been running Grade A. I wouldn't overlook him for tri's and superfecta plays but I think making it three straight wins here could be a big hurdle to jump.
Race 8 - 583 yards - Grade B - SINKER - 5 box - He's caught fire of late and will be trying to make it 3 straight here after two solid wins from the 7 box. One thing I like about him is he can run from anywhere on the track so considering that, and his impressive 7 length win last time out, capable of another big effort here.
Race16- 583 yards - Grade A - THEEREE - 5 box - She's a very talented young greyhound with only 7 career starts but already has 4 wins, a second and a third place finish to show for it. She has shown good early speed and a solid rush to the turn and once she gets the lead, very hard to catch. This is one to keep an eye on as her racing future appears to be bright indeed.
Race16- 583 yards - Grade A - TRACKINFO SHADOW - 8 box - He is a wide runner who has drawn the 8 box and coming off two solid wins worthy of a play in this one.
