Southland Greyhound Park got the 2017 racing season off to a huge start on Sunday and Wednesday follows that up with 20 more exciting races on the card. As you may have already noticed that is one of the changes that you will be seeing this year as Southland is going to run 20 races on Sundays,Wednesdays and Thursdays with an exception on July 5 when there will be no live racing for that Wednesday since there will be racing on Tuesday, July 4th. Friday's twin bill this year will feature 18 races in the twilight session and 12 races in the evening. Saturdays in 2017 will still have 18 races in both performances. There will be no racing on Mondays and Tuesdays with exceptions being made for holidays that fall on those days. There is also a few changes that were made on the wagering side as fans now will be able to bet $1 quinielas and 50 cent trifectacs on each race. Last, but certainly not least, Southland has added 3 new stakes events to the calendar in addition to the best stakes racing lineup in the country. With all these changes and additions that track management has made, there is no doubt that 2017 at Southland is poised to be one very incredible greyhound season and one that all racing fans will enjoy. Thanks for reading and best of luck with your wagering opportunities. Always keep in mind that BETAMERICA is just a click away and they will be glad to assist you should you have any questions or concerns that you might have.
