Round 3 of the $25,000 Southland HOUND MADNESS STAKES is set for Friday evening, March 17 as the field is now down to 16 talented and hard running greyhounds. Round 2 was similar to Round 1 as the upsets and surprises continue to be the story of this exciting and challenging stakes competition. Of the number 1 seeds in the 4 regions of the stakes bracket only Classy Wolverine has been able to advance to Round 3. In fact, of the remaining 16 greyhounds left in the contest, 12 of them were seeded 5th or lower so as you can tell this year’s Hound Madness Stakes has had more underdogs advancing then in previous years. Listed below is the remaining schedule of the Hound Madness Stakes as well as the greyhounds, their post positions and what they were seeded before the competition started. Best of luck to all those remaining as well as their kennels, owners and all other connections.Southland
