The English Premier League is full of stars, including some of the best young players from around the world. In the 2020s we could see these five players evolve from budding talents to true superstars.

Mason Greenwood (Manchester United)

Greenwood was a goal-scoring machine for Manchester United’s academy. He scored 46 goals and racked up 13 assists in 44 games with the U-18s and U-23s.

He’s  impressed in his first season with the senior team, with nine goals and four assists in 28 appearances across all competitions. The 18-year-old can score with either foot with ease, and he has been a great pairing with fellow United academy graduate Marcus Rashford. Greenwood is poised to be one of England’s great stars for years to come.

Dani Ceballos (Arsenal)

Ceballos already would have been a world star if he wasn't hampered by a loaded Real Madrid midfield. On loan to Arsenal, he has already become one of the Gunners' stars, with his ability to make terrific passes with either foot to move the attack forward.

He has a goal and two assists in 17 appearances this season, and he has been a part of several trophy-winning teams. He captained the Spain U-21s and U-19s to European championships, and won a Champions League, a Club World Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, and a Spanish Super Cup with Real Madrid. He could eventually be the leader of the next generation of great Spanish players.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Manchester United)

Wan-Bissaka was one of the best defenders in the EPL last season with Crystal Palace, and became the most expensive English transfer who didn't have a cap with the national team when he moved to Manchester United last offseason.

Last season he had the most clearances, interceptions, and tackles won among all EPL fullbacks, and is third this season in tackles won (120), third in interceptions (78) and second in dribbles (54) among defenders. He is on his way to a full-fledged battle with the next player in our list to be England’s best right back, and it’s a competition that will last for the bulk of this decade.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)

Some say Trent Alexander-Arnold has the ability to become the best right back in the world. Some think he may already be there. His play this season has dazzled fans, as Liverpool has gone unbeaten in league.

On top of his defensive ability, he also can help on the attack. He has two goals and 11 assists across all competitions this season, and he’ll continue to factor into the attack as the season moves along. If he can help Liverpool win the EPL and another Champions League title, his rise to superstardom could be complete.

Christian Pulisic (Chelsea)

Christian Pulisic is already a star in the U.S. He is viewed by many as the greatest soccer talent the country has ever produced. He burst onto the international scene as a 17-year-old with Borussia Dortmund, where he scored 19 goals in four seasons before he secured a $73 million transfer to Chelsea. It was one of the biggest transfers in EPL history, and far and away the most paid for an American player.

It took a while for Pulisic to get his footing in the EPL, but he found it with a hat trick against Burnley on Oct. 26. He has six goals and six assists for Chelsea this season, and once he’s healthy, you would expect that production to continue. He may be America’s superstar, but he is on the verge of becoming a world superstar if he can excel with the Blues.
